Changelog

GDZ SoundMotion for Windows

  • Bug fixes.
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements.
  • Cover art that is not square is now resized to fit its style, keeping its original proportions instead of being stretched.
  • New Presets window, opened from the right-click menu: save the complete state of the active visualization under a name of your choice and reapply it later. Saving under a name that is already in use replaces that preset. Presets can be applied directly from the names listed in the Presets submenu; deleting a preset is done from the window.
  • Ctrl + scroll wheel over the visualizer zooms in and out of the active visualization.
  • Ctrl + drag repositions the active visualization.
  • Ctrl + double-click resets the position and zoom of the active visualization to their factory values.
  • New global shortcut Ctrl+Alt+J: brings the window to the front and makes it editable even while in Widget mode.
  • Added Previous, Play, Pause, and Next playback buttons.
  • Combinable text styles for the Now Playing title.
  • New Frame cover art style, selectable from the context menu.
  • Added a Smoothing option to the Bars and Spectrogram visualizations.
  • New cover art for the Now Playing overlay, in four styles: Pin (photo on a white card), Vinyl (record peeking out of its sleeve), Cover, and Compact Disc.
  • Now Playing can also show a progress bar alongside the song title and artist.
  • Each item—title, cover art, and progress bar—can be set to hidden, shown only when a new song starts, or always shown.
  • The title, cover art, and progress bar can be dragged to reposition them.
  • New Now Playing overlay: Shows the title and artist of whatever is currently playing, for any player that reports this information to Windows (Media Player, Spotify, YouTube in the browser, and most others). Enable it from Options → General.
  • Press I at any time to show the Now Playing information on demand, even if the option is turned off.
  • New 3D bars visualization: extruded bars in one-point perspective — front, top and side faces, with every depth edge aiming at the same vanishing point. This is now the default visualization
  • 18 visualizations in total
  • Added settings to several visualizations that previously had none: spacing, thicknesses, peak and cell shape, fall speed
